We mourn the loss and Celebrate the Life and Legacy of Adam Farris

Adam Farris was born on October 21, 1934 in Houston, Texas to the union of the late Godfrey and Nora Cash Farris.

Adam attended schools in DeSoto Parish Independent School District, Mansfield, Louisiana. After graduating from High School, He relocated back to Houston, Texas.

Adam worked for Foremost Dairy and Oak Farms Dairy as a Machine Operator for 30 years.

He returned to Louisiana and married the love of his life, Annie Lois Thomas on May 17, 1958. This union was blessed with five children, Sherwood Thomas, Bruce A., Erma Jean , Marguerite Deloise, and Windy Michelle Farris.

Adam confessed Jesus as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age. While living in Houston, Texas he was a faithful member of New Loyalty Baptist Church for over 30 years, under the pastorship of Pastor Reynolds.  Upon retiring and relocating back to Louisiana, He and His wife became members of Bethel Baptist Church where he remained a faithful member until the Lord called Him home.

Adam was passionate about being outdoors!! If he wasn’t on His John Deere keeping His lawn in “Immaculate Order”, He was found either tending to His numerous vegetable gardens or fishing.  He had one strong passion that he was very faithful to … He loved the Houston Rockets Basketball Team … winning or losing, he would watch his favorite team at every opportunity.
