Funeral services for Mr. Winker Jefferson, age 84, of Winnfield, La., will be held Thursday, March 26, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, with Pastor James G. Leonard, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in the Winnfield Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 8:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Mr. Jefferson, a retired sawmill employee, passed Saturday, March 21, 2009, in the Specialty Hospital of Winnfield. Mr. Jefferson is survived by: five(5) sisters, Shirley Harris, Girtha Spivey, and Manilla Giles, all of Tacoma, Wa., Mattie Jackson and Ruby Brown, both of Los Angeles, Ca; two(2) brothers, Roy Jefferson of Los Angeles, Ca., and Phillip Jefferson, Jr.,of Cloutierville, La.
