Funeral services for Mr. Willie D. Nichols, age 69, of Jonesboro, La., will be held Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009, at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Winnfield Funeral Home of Winnfield with Rev. Tommy Hamms officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Hill M.B.C. Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. Mr. Nichols, a retired logger, passed Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, in the Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield, La. Mr. Nichols is survived by: his wife, Gladys Nichols of Jonesboro, La; two(2) sons, Willie E., Nichols of Jonesboro, La., and Jose Nichols of Kansas City, Mo; four(4) daughters, Vickie Leonard of Hodge, La.; Shelia Cottonham of Jonesboro, La.; Sharon Bryant of Kansas City, Mo.; Corondelette Clay of Alpharetta, Ga. four(4) brothers, Rev. Robert Nichols of Winnfield, La.; Dilton Nichols and Joe Nichols, both of Kansas City, Mo.; and Roy Nichols of Tannehill, La. two(2) sisters, Shirley Honeycutt, and Catherine Nichols, both of Kansas City, Mo. Mr. Nichols is also survived by fifteen(15) grandchildren and ten(10) great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
