Obituary

Funeral service for Mr. William Leonard Prudhomme will be held, Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Winnfield Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 noon. Visitation will be 11 A.M. until service time, Saturday. Burial will be in the Lawrence Serenity Sanctum. The Rev. William Sapp will be officiating. Obituary For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved St. John 3:16 Mr. William Leonard Prudhomme was born June 25, 1926 in Bermuda, Louisiana to the late Joseph Prudhomme and Clara Turner. In 1968, he united with Bethel Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend David Pye. Mr. Prudhomme served in the US Army in World War II and the Korean War. He completed his life journey May 16, 2008 at an undetermined time at his home in Natchitoches, Louisiana. He spent his life caring for his surroundings especially his yard. His neighbors will miss seeing him in the yard everyday and we hope he is the best yard man in Heaven. He was blessed with seven children; one preceded him in death, Carolyn Prudhomme Hamilton. He leaves to cherish his memories: five sisters, Mrs. Oscarene Taylor Whatley, Dr. Louvenia Alfred Taylor Roberson, Ms. Sammie N. Coleman, Ms. Clauggie Gray and Ms. Shawn Coleman all of Natchitoches, LA; two brothers, Mr. Claudell Coleman of Seattle, WA; and Mr. Sammy Coleman of Natchitoches, LA; five sons, Danny Herve Rachal of New Orleans, LA; William Danny Prudhomme of Beaumont, TX; Leonard Lloyd Foster (Gwen) of Shreveport, LA, Karl Blane Braden of Natchitoches, LA; and Terry Charles Prudhomme; one daughter, Brenda Prudhomme Foster of Fairburn, GA; eighteen grandchildren, approximately twenty great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
