Funeral Services will be celebrated at the St. Paul Baptist Church in Bermuda, LA Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 11:00 a. m. with burial following in the church's cemetery. The family will receive friends during a period of visitation at Winnfield Funeral Home on the preceding Friday evening from 6:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. with a Service of Tribute at 7:00 p. m. Mrs. Veatter Petite Clayton was born December 15, 1943 to the late Frank and Veola Petite, Sr. She departed this life Sunday, May 1, 2011 at 6:00 a. m. at the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center. Although she is physically gone from among us, she will never, ever be forgotten. She leaves to cherish in memory her husband, Lewis Clayton; three sons, Perry Petite (Shawanda) of Baton Rouge, LA, Percy Petite (Diane) of Monroe, LA and Kenneth Petite (Sharon Ann) of Forth Worth, TX; three daughters, Serena Harris (Jeff), Audrey Petite (Jackie Ray) of Fort Worth, TX and Carolyn Petite of Natchitoches, LA; one sister, Serena Miller of Fort Worth, TX; three brothers, Melvin Petite (Dorothy-Deceased), of Natchitoches, LA, Frank Petite, Jr. (Johnny Lee) of Ft. Worth, TX, Lee James Tousant (Diane) of Riverdale, IL. Preceding her in death were two brothers, Jake Petite (Viola), LeeAutrey Petite (Lillian), and one sister, Peggy Edwards (Earl) all of Forth Worth, TX. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
