We mourn the loss and Celebrate the Life and Legacy of Mr. Tommy R. Allen 52, of Shreveport, La.
Tommy Reginald Allen was born November 14, 1965 to Altha Allen and Tommy Nash.
At an early age, Tommy was baptized and accepted Christ at Springville Baptist Church. He later united with Open Door Fellowship under the leadership of Pastor Steven W. McAbee. He attended schools in Red River Parish, graduating from Coushatta High School, now Red River High.
Tommy worked most of his life for William and Trina Brown, where there he became more than a worker, but family. Tommy later moved to Shreveport, Louisiana and began working for George's Grill, where home away from home, they too welcomed him in their lives and hearts.
Tommy enjoyed life! He loved fishing, drinking coffee, spending time with family and friends, most importantly, making old things new to Tommy!
On December 20, 2017, Tommy Reginald Allen, departed this earthly life and entered into rest. He was preceded in death by his parents, Altha Allen and Tommy Nash; sister, Shelia Allen and brothers, Georgy Allen and Daryll Nash.
Tommy is survived by his three children: one daughter, Alexis Lindsey (Michael); two sons, Avery Brown and Christopher Mitchell (Sekemia) all of Coushatta, Louisiana; six grandchildren, Jakyivs Palmer, Janis Palmer, Jailee Palmer, Jira Palmer, Michael Lindsey, Jr. and Christopher Mitchell, Jr. (Paw Paw's Poohs); two sisters, Paul Allen and Sharon Allen both of Shreveport, Louisiana; three nieces, Renanda Allen, Anicia Allen and Shakirra Babers; two nephews, Lenard Allen and Levar Allen; and a host of family and friends.Please keep the Allen family lifted in your Prayers.
