Mrs. Susan Ann Davis Susan Davis was born July 31, 1946 in Colfax, LA to Verdi Leslie and Green Williams of Louisiana. Susan departed this life suddenly February 14, 2009 at the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center. Susans parents preceded her in death as well as six brothers, James, Jerry, Green, Jr., Calvin, Lawrence and Charles Ray. Susan was educated at Mary E. Graham High School in Colfax, LA. She joined Old Morning Star Baptist Church at an early age. She was also a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Montgomery, LA where Rev. Andrae Haynie is Pastor. Susan was a faithful member of this ministry until her death. She met and married Henry Davis of Montgomery, Louisiana who survives her. Susan worked at Jordache for a number of years from where she retired in 2008. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband, Henry Davis of Montgomery, LA, one daughter Jonetta Lawson (Kip) of Colfax, LA, one son, Calvin (Yvonne) of Tacoma, WA, four step daughters; Janet (Frankie) of Lafayette, LA, Sophia (Walter) of Colfax, LA, Deborah Shavers of Alexandria, LA and Vicky (Mark) of New York; one sister, Judy (Don), of Baltimore, Md; ten grandchildren, Ernica, Britney, Domnique, Cedric, Robert, Terrell, Earl, Jr., Eric, Keyena and Aalyia; one great grandchild, Jaden; seven sisters-in-law, six brothers-in-law, one Godchild, Umira Boyd and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and special friends. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 21, 2009 at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Montgomery, LA where the Rev. Andrae Haynie is Pastor at 11:30 a. m. There will be no wake. Burial will be in the Montgomery Community Cemetery under the direction of Winnfield Funeral Home (www.winnfieldfuneralhomes.com).
