Obituary

On June 3, 2024, the good Lord called Sidney home in the evening at Spring Lake Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Leonell Tucker, mother- Frances Tucker Walton; Aunts- Ercell Tucker Ish, Susie Tucker Hendrix, Josephine Tucker Brown and wife, Sylvia Ward Tucker

Sidney Albert Tucker, age 87 was the only child, born to the late Frances Tucker Walton on January 13, 1937 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Sidney was a hard worker, sports fan, loved music, loved to dance and enjoyed life. Sidney early work career began at Schumpert Hospital in the operating room then at AT&T formerly known as Southwestern Bell where he eventually retired. Sidney was a corvette enthusiast and if you knew Sidney, he always had a corvette. He was a huge fan of the LSU Tigers and Kansas City Chiefs.

Those left to cherish loving memories of Sidney are; Son: Earnest LaRoderick Aziz (Shera) and stepdaughter, Marshella Smith (Eugene Jr.). Four granddaughters, Tai Duren-Wynn, Sanaa Aziz, Aminah Aziz and Naiya Aziz. One step grandson- Eugene Smith II. "Nieces"- Leona Llorance-Holmes(Kelvin) and Trimeka Rivers. Special friends, Delores Beaudoin and Marie "Diane" LaCour-Webb and a host of family and friends.
