FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MS. SHANTELLA MARIE PHILLIPS WILL BE HELD SATURDAY, JUNE 20, 2009, 11:00 A. M. AT THE CHAPEL OF WINNFIELD FUNERAL HOME, 318 NORTH STREET, NATCHITOCHES, LOUISIANA WITH BURIAL FOLLOWING IN THE NEW NAZARENE BAPTIST CHURCH CEMETERY IN BERMUDA, LA. PUBLIC VISITATION WILL BE CONVENED AT THE FUNERAL HOME FROM 8:00 A. M. UNTIL SERVICE TIME. Obituary Of Ms. Shantella Marie Phillips Shanntella Marie Phillips was born to the parentage of Mr. William Lamar and Mrs. Lessie Moody Lamar May 7, 1968 in Tacoma, Washington. She was born the second of five children. Her father and her brother, Andre, preceded in death as did her infant son, Andre Kenard. Her education was secured in the public schools of Tacoma, Washington, Clover Technical College of Nursing and Tacoma Business College and School of Cosmetology of that city. She pursued vocations as a Licensed Cosmetologist, Assistant Manager of a hotel and a Phlebotomist in the health care industry. She was formerly married to Hiram Phillips and they became the parents of twin boys, Jamaine and Tramaine. Shanntella was led to unite with the Goodwill Baptist Church of Natchitoches where the Rev. Jerald Gant, Sr. is the Pastor. This sweet spirited young lady passed away at the Minden Medical Center June 13, 2009 following a lengthy illness. Left to cherish her memory are her twin sons, Jamaine and Tramaine Phillips of Natchitoches, her mother Ms. Lessie Marie Moody of Natchitoches, three brothers, Orlando Keith Sherrell of Anchorage, Alaska, Kenneth Lamar of Tacoma, Washington, Michael Wills of Natchitoches; her grandmother, Mrs. Elect Moody of Natchitoches, three aunts, two uncles, four great aunts, two great great aunts, one great uncle, three great great uncles, seventeen nieces and nephews, two great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
