Shannon Troy McDowell Vice president of Washington Mutual Bank, Houston, he died at 7:05 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, at St. Luke Hospital, Sugarland, Texas. He was 46, a resident of Stafford, Texas, and a native of Woodville, Miss. Visiting at Winnfield Funeral Home on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by Otis Collins, pastor of Greater True Love Baptist Church. Interment in Winnfield Memorial Park. Survived by his father and mother, Willie H. and Albertha D. McDowell; three sisters, Drucilla Dalton, Latrenda M. Sanderford and Anessia A. McDowell; and three brothers, Elder Samuel Dalton, David L. McDowell and Jerome A. McDowell. Preceded in death by a sister, Emma D. McDowell; maternal grandmother, Bessie Smith; and paternal grandmother, Emma P. McDowell. Pallbearers will be Shun Dalton, James Dalton Jr., Jamar McDowell, Michael Robinson, David McDowell, Jerome A. McDowell, Lamar Sanderford and Michael Ghoram. Honorary pallbearers are Hosea McDowell, Tyrus McDowell, Jerome T. McDowell, Marquis Dalton and Elder Samuel Dalton. He was a 1980 graduate of Scotlandville High School and 1984 graduate of Southern University.
