Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Sapp age 91 of Natchitoches will be held on Saturday August 22, 2009 at 1 p.m. at United Missionary B.C. Natchez with Rev. William Sapp officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary B.C. cemetery, Little River. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time at the church. Mrs. Sapp passed away on August 15, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Sapp was born October 3, 1917 to the union of the late Golston Anthony and Beatrice Hatchet Anthony. She was baptized at an early age and joined the St. Mary B.C. Ruth has kept a firm faith in the Lord and often spoke of His greatness and blessings. She was a quiet, kind, wise, strong, supportive, and beautiful lady. She was loved by many who knew her, as a result their lives were enriched. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henderson Sapp and sixteen siblings. Mrs. Sapp is survived by two children, Stevenson Jones, Sr. (Bessie) of Natchitoches, LA; and Daisy S. Cyriaque (Malcolm M. Jr.) of Alexandria, LA; seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, four sisters, Savaria Anthony of Monroe, LA; Annie D. Johnson (Woodie) of Natchez, LA; Emma L. Shelton of Pittsburgh, PA, and Ura D. Walls of Shreveport, LA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
