Funeral Services will be celebrated at the Ben Johnson Auditorium, 400 MLK Dr., Natchitoches, LA Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 11:00 a. m. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home at 318 North St. the preceding Friday evening from 6 - 9 p. m. Burial will take place at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery on Hwy 6. Mrs. Rosetta Watson Middleton was born in Negreet, Louisiana on November 23, 1928 to the late Alonzo and Rose King Watson. She was the fourth child of this beautiful union. She attended school in Sabine Parish School District. She later moved to Natchitoches, LA. At an early age she joined the Friendship Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Richard Kissee in the Breda Town Community. Rosetta was a big part of the church and helped to enrich the lives of others in the Breda Town Community in which she lived. For many years she worked for Dr. Melvin and Ruth Stevens of Stevens Realty. Rosetta will be remembered for her caring heart, a warm smile and her encouraging words for those facing lifes challenges. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Rose Watson, her husband, Willie T. Middleton, Sr., two sons, Mack C. Middleton, Sr. and Timothy D. Middleton, two brothers and three sisters. She married Mr. Willie Thomas Middleton, Sr. in 1944 and from that union came 17 wonderful children. She leaves to mourn her memories 15 children: Bettye Latkins and Carol Middleton of Los Angeles, CA, Willie T. Middleton, Jr. (Belinda) and Carl Middleton of Dallas, TX, Albert Middleton of Arlington, TX, Alvin Middleton, Sr. (Gloria) of Baytown, TX, Vera Roberson, Calvin Middleton, Sr., Roy Middleton, Sr., Michael Middleton, Jeanette Middleton, and Annie Bush (Vernon) all of Natchitoches, LA, Christopher Middleton, Sr. (Michelle) of New Orleans, LA, Pamela Avery (Kenneth) and Debra Middleton of Shreveport, LA; one sister, Lillian Brumfield of Los Angeles, CA, one brother, Johnny Watson (Lillie) of Compton, CA, 55 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews and many loyal relatives and friends.
