We mourn the loss and Celebrate the Life & Legacy of Mrs. Rose Marie Holloway Brown, 79 of Shreveport, La.
Rose Marie Holloway Brown was born on April 14, 1942 to the late Milton and Doreatha Holloway in Mansfield, Louisiana. Rose confessed Christ as her savior at an early age and was baptized at Star Light Baptist Church in Oakdale, Louisiana.
In 1961 Rose graduated from Allen High School in Oakdale, Louisiana. She fell in love and was united in Holy Matrimony to Private Bobby Brown from St. Petersburg, Florida. To this union three children were born, Roger Dennis Brown, Bob Milton Brown and Clarence Don Brown
Mrs. Brown loved plants and animals and put much of her public and private time into nurturing nature. Rose was also a member of the Foster Grand Parents and was awarded the Louisiana Volunteer Service Award by Louisiana Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser.
On July 29, 2021, Rose was called to be with the Lord. To cherish her memory, Rose leaves
three children: Roger Brown, Bob Brown (Phyllis) Clarence Brown and Seven grandchildren: Alexis Brown, Arielle (Christopher lll) Tidline, Amanda, Melissa, Joshua, Marcus and Matthew Brown and Two great grandchildren: Christopher Moses IV and Jaelah Kennedi Tidline. One Sister-in- law: Mary Jane Lawson Brown, Palatka, FL.
A host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Milton and Doreatha Holloway, brothers Milton Holloway, Jr., Robert Holloway and sisters Margaret Holloway Freeman, Josie Holloway Hall
