Rosa Mae Roque Moran(92) was born November 15,1929 in Natchez,La to the parents of Charles and Mary Roque.On January 7,1951 she married the love of her life Tom Moran. They were married for 35 years until his death in 1985. To this union 3 daughters were born. In the early 1960's they moved from Natchez,La to Shreveport where she lived until the Lord called her home on December 12,2021. She and her husband both worked at St.Catherine 's Catholic Church and school for over 25 years.When her husband became ill, she spent practically everyday at his bedside until his death.She,also cared for her mother and brother until their deaths.She was a devoted wife,mother,grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a grandmother to all the neighborhood children.She was also famous for her Natchitoches meat pies and 7-up pound cakes.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Mary Roque, husband To Moran,daughter Janice Moran Newson and grandson Bryan Moran,Sr. Brothers; Wilson Metoyer (Mabel), Henry Metoyer and Charles Roque,Jr. Sister; Severine Chaffer (J.C) and in-laws Atwood and Verina Moran.
She leaves to cherish her memories: daughter's LaVerne Moran-Scott(Alvin) and Josephine Moran -Shine.Grandchildren:Edvonia Shelitia Scott, Angela Scott-Bolton(Ron), Bobby Kepney,Jr.Alvin Scott Jr., Danielle Gipson(Marcus), 13 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. 4 brother-n-laws,3 sister-n-laws and a host of nieces ,nephews relatives and friends.
