A retired detective with the West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office and a resident of Brusly, he died Thursday morning, Sept. 16, 2010, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. He was 52 and a native of Paris. Visiting at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday, Sept. 26, from 4 p.m. until religious service at 7 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Michael Otkins Sr., pastor. Dismissal on Monday, Sept. 27, at 10 a.m., with interment to follow in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie Edwards Crawford; daughters, Kiera Crawford, Kristie Crawford and Kimberly Crawford-Davis; sons, Akeem Yarbrough, Elijah Edwards and Eric Walker; a sister, Jeanette A. Crawford; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Reginald Crawford Sr. and Mrs. Zether Early Crawford; and a brother, Clinton Crawford Sr. Arrangements by Winnfield Funeral Home
