Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 28, 2011, 1:00 p. m. at the St. Matthew Baptist Church of Creston, LA with burial following in the church's cemetery. The family will receive friends for a visitation at the Winnfield Funeral Home on the preceding Friday evening from 6:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. Mr. Nash was born March 31, 1987 in Shreveport, LA and was educated in the public schools of Natchitoches Parish. He was the second child of seven children of Ms. Donna Nash. He was pronounced deceased at the scene of a fatal car accident on the Campti Cutoff Road on the night of Thursday, May 19, 2011. He was converted and accepted Christ as his personal savior at the age of 23. Mr. Nash was widely known and very well liked for his character as a peoples person who never met a stranger. He met you with beautiful smile that had the power to change your mood from negative to positive. This friendly and outgoing young man also had a great admiration for vehicles and a heart full of love for his dogs, his pets of choice. His memory will forever be cherished by his loving mother, Ms. Donna Nash of Campti, LA and his father, Mr. Gerald Besant (Debra) of Natchitoches; six siblings, Andy Nash (Christina) of Winnfield, LA, Shavanity Nash (Devion) of Natchitoches, LA, LaBryant Franklin, Jason Jefferson, Daniel Williams, and Jayla Wilson all of Campti, LA. His paternal siblings who survive him are Gerald Mitchell, Gerald Besant, II, DeUnka Riser, DeMarius Besant, TaQuetta Calvin, Shalonda Calvin, Clemeron Besant, Mark Calvin, Tim Calvin. He is also survived by a paternal grandfather, Mr. Joseph Besant of Natchitoches, LA, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
