Funeral Services for Mrs. Claiborne will be held at the St. Paul Baptist Church, Bermuda, LA Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 2:00 p. m. with burial following in the church's cemetery. Pastor Leo Walker, Sr. will officiate the services. The family will receive friends at the Winnfield Funeral Home on the preceding Friday evening from 6 - 9 p. m. 'Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.' (Proverbs 31:10). Mrs. Pearlie Claiborne passed away Friday, August 27, 2010 at the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Natchitoches, LA. Her memory will be cherished deeply; her legacy everlasting and the love she showed for family and friends will be immeasurably missed, but will live on through each one of us. Sister Pearlie Claiborne is survived by her husband, Cleveland Claiborne, Jr.; four children: Bobby Claiborne (Gwen), Carolyn Claiborne (who preceded her in death), Pamela Prevo (Carlos) and Gwendolyn Claiborne-Brown; four sisters: Lessie Edwards, Betty Mack, Lena Besant and Mary Fowler; four brothers: Charles Samuel, Aaron Samuel, Calvin Samuel and Steve Samuel; eight sisters-in-law; six brothers-in-law; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
