Homegoing Celebration of Her Life Naomi W. Thompson, Wednesday, December 15, 2010 - 11:00 A.M. - Cedar Grove Seventh Adventist Church, 641 Rollins Street, Shreveport, Louisiana, Pastor Ennis V. Johnson, Sr. - Officiating The Obituary - 'If I help someone along their journey, then my life shall not be in vain.' A native of New Orleans, and a true Women of God,she was full of love and faith. She had pleasant way of brightening up someone's day by her radiant smile and encouraging words. Sister Naomi W. Thompson was born April 25, 1926 to the late Charlotte Bean and Ike Williams. She accepted Christ at Pure light Missionary Baptist Church in New Orleans, Louisiana at an early age. Elder Darmas studies with her and the Holy Spirit convicted her in 1976, She united with Caffin Avenue Seventh-day Adventist Church and faithfully attended there until Hurricane Katrina displaced her. Sister Thompson united in Holy Matrimony to the late Frederick Thompson. She retired from Delgado Community College after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She loved to travel and organized many trips. Each year there was some type of crusie, air, bus or train and the profits were donated to the church. Acknowledgments - We the family of Sister Naomi W. Thompson, shall be forever grateful for the many acts and deed of kindness shown during our time of sorrow. Your expressions of sorrow, your expressions of love and earnest prayers have been most consoling. May God continue to bless and keep you in a special way is our prayer.
