Funeral services for Mrs. Monica Enid Walter Mitchell age 52 will be held on Friday night October 23, 2009 at 7 p.m. at First B.C. North Street with Pastor G. Stanley Lewis Officiating. Interment will be held on Saturday October 24, 2009 at 9 a.m. at Jackson Square Cemetery. Monica Enid Walter Mitchell was the third child bless the union of the late Ruben Walter, Jr. and Marcella Gibson Walter. Her warm and shining spirit entered our lives on September 3, 1957 in Natchitoches, La. She departed this life on October 18, 2009. Predeceased by her father, Ruben Walter Jr, her brother Darrell Walter, and her sister Linda Walter Christmas. Monica leaves the following individuals to celebrate her legacy: her loving son Henry Mitchell Jr, daughter Jeni Mitchell Rossell of Columbus, GA. and her devoted mother Mrs. Marcella Walter of Natchitoches, La., other siblings include Wilma Goldsmith (Robert) and Renee Dean of Monroe, La., Barry Gibson (Vurtis) of Hammond, La., Godmother Alma Johnson of Natchitoches, La, six grandchildren; Jazmine, Christopher, James, Desiree, Henry III, and Haliyah, the Hollis family of Columbus, GA, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
