Graveside Services will be held for Miss Metoyer at the St. Augustine Catholic Church Cemetery at Isle Brevelle Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 11:00 a. m. with the Rev. Jacob, Pastor, officiating. The marriage union of the late Mr. Henry Metoyer, Sr. and Mrs. Genieve Roque Metoyer was blessed with a daughter, Mildred Ann, born in Natchitoches on May 27, 1934 as the eldest of ten children born to her parents. Her parents being devout Catholics took care to have her baptized as an infant at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Natchitoches. Being challenged from birth, Mildred did not become a student of formal training in the local school system; however, she was cared for in special settings for the most of her life. She passed away at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA February 24, 2010 while a resident of Pinecrest School of Pineville, LA. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Bayonne and Miss Virginia Ann Metoyer and three brothers, Mr. James M. Metoyer, Mr. Joseph Metoyer and Mr. Charles Henry Metoyer. Left to cherish her memory are one brother, Clarence Metoyer of Natchitoches, LA; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Lee Metoyer Rachal of Natchitoches, LA, Mrs. Elsie Metoyer LaCour (Herman) of Natchitoches and LA and Miss Elizabeth Ann Metoyer of Bossier City, LA; one aunt, Mrs. Margaret Metoyer of Natchitoches, LA, one uncle, Mr. Vincent Metoyer of Natchitoches, ten nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives.
