On March 19, 1974, a beautiful baby boy was born to James Henry Evans, Sr. and Vera Ann Darby. They named him, Michael Evans. At a young age, Michael accepted Christ at Temple Baptist Church in Bossier City, Louisiana. Later in life, he united with the Hollywood C.O.G.I.C. in Shreveport, Louisiana, under the leadership of Pastor Alford Ladell, Sr. In 2015, Michael graduated from C. H. Mason Bible College. On September 23, 2017, Michael Evans, departed this earthly life and entered into rest. He was preceded in death by his father, James Henry Evans, Sr.; grandparents, Charlie Darby, Annie Bell Robinson Darby, Henry Evans and Mamie Evans. Michael lived a full, joyous life. He enjoyed going to church, cooking, fishing, cutting hair and family and friend gatherings. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Precious memories will be cherished by his loving mother, Vera Ann Darby Berry; four daughters, Alexis Dailey, Cassandra Harris, Kadaysia Evans and Ariana Woods; two sons, Kamar Woods and DiQuan Woods; two brothers, James Henry Evans, Jr. and Benjamin Francez Evans; two sisters, Krystal V'Sha Carter and Lashandra Lynn Evans; one niece, Janiya Jones We mourn the loss and Celebrate the Life and Legacy of Mr. Micheal Jermaine Evans 43 of Shreveport, La.
