She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, neighbor and a friend. She loved caring for all. She gained Happiness in her life by doing so and providing for others. Her love was not limited to her family; she had an undying caring love for all. She loved the simple pleasures of life, such as the kitchen. There was nothing that brought more joy to her then watching everyone enjoy one of her delicious meals. Mommies kitchen had a revolving door for all anytime of the day or night. She taught us knowledge and respect and how to face the real world. Her constant prayers, knowledge and respect led to the strength that we now use to face daily challenges. Mary Margaret Sers Rachal was born on September 7, 1924 to Louis Sers, Sr. and Frances Sarpy Sers on Bayou Derbonne.. She was the fourth child of thirteen brothers and sisters. Throughout the course of her many transitions, she faced the battle, fought the good fight and finished the course! She accepted the limitations and the pain without complaint and made life for those around her both pleasant and joyful. Mommie enjoyed many visits from family and friends. And a cure was not to be; He put his arms around you and whispered, Come with me. With tearful eyes we watched you suffer and saw you sleep away. Although we loved you dearly.
