Visiting at Winnfield Funeral Home, 7221 Plank Road on Sunday, May 3, 2009, 5:00 PM until religious services at 7:00 PM. Conducted by Pastor John Bowman. Dismissal Monday, May 4, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Interment in Port Hudson National Cemetery, Zachary, LA. She is survived by daughter, Beverly Augusta Davis; son, Matthew George Jackson, Sr.; sister, Simmie Willie George Watts; Goddaughter, Doris T. Jones; grandchildren, Althea, Demetric, Iris, Adonis, Matthew, Jr., and Courtney.; 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Samuel Jackson; parents, Simmie and Mary Goff George; son, Samuel Jackson, Jr and son-in-law, Ralph Davis.
