MARVIN W. STRATTON, SR. was born March 28, 1944 to Mr. Otis Stratton and Mrs. Annette Stratton. Marvin was a graduate of Second Ward High School in Gloster, Louisiana. Before he retired from AT&T of 32 years, he was employed at Goud Battery and the Ammunition Plant. With honor and integrity, he served our Country for 33 years, in which he received many honors and awards. Marvin was baptized at an early age. He then started his Christian journey and in 2008, he was ordained as a Deacon at Faltine Baptist Church, where he served until his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Otis Stratton and Mrs. Annette Stratton; one brother, Eddie Stratton and his sister, Jean Stratton. Precious memories will be cherished by his beloved wife of 35 years, Martha C. Stratton; two sons, Marvin W. Stratton, Jr. and Kevin Carter; three brothers, Freddie Stratton, Winifred Stratton and Jethro Stratton; three grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Annie M. Carter; five sisters-in-law; six brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.We mourn the loss and Celebrate the Life and Legacy of Mr. Marvin W.
