Funeral Services will be held at the Winnfield Funeral Home Chapel in Natchitoches, LA Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 11:00 a. m. with a visitation at the funeral on the preceding Friday evening from 6 - 9 p. m. Burial will take place in the St. Matthew Baptist Church Cemetery, Melrose, LA. Ms. Lue Jane Ladkin was born February 11, 1941 to the late Fred (Jack) Williams and Loren Randolph of Melrose, Louisiana. On September 28, 2010 God called Lue home. Lue first accepted Christ July 19, 1989 and later changed her membership to St. Matthew Baptist Church where she was a faithful member. Later in life Lue was united in Holy Matrimony to Willie Ladkin. To this union two children were born. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Alvin (Bubba) Williams, Simon (Kirk) Williams and sisters, Lillie Bee Williams and Katherine Williams Brown. Her legacy to praise God will live on forever in the hearts of her loving children, Connie Ladkin Walker of Natchitoches, LA and Melissa Ladkin of Irving, TX. She also leaves behind four other cherished loved ones: her grandson, Timothy Latchie of Lafayette, LA, granddaughter, Charlene Walker of Natchitoches, LA and her two special nieces, Lillian Jones of Houston, TX and Charvelvia Ladkin McDaniel of Natchez, LA along with a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many wonderful friends who will greatly miss her.
