We mourn the loss and Celebrate the Life and Legacy of Mrs. Louvenia Newson 78, Shreveport, La. Mrs. Louvenia Brown Newson was born on September 15, 1939, in Belcher, La. She passed away peacefully at 10:30 a.m. on October 27, 2017 at the age of 78, at the Meadowview Rehabilitation Center in Minden, La. At a young age sister Newson accepted Christ, she was a Booker T. Washington graduate Class of 1958. Sister Newson was happily married to her devoted husband Willie Newson for 60 years. (Lou) was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. The Newson's have been members of Mt. Paran Missionary Baptists Church for the past 50 years. Sister Newson sang in the choir and also served on the deaconess board. Sister Newson is preceded in death: by her parents, two daughters, and three brothers. Sister Newson leaves to cherish her loving memories; her husband; Willie Newson, daughter; Bridget Smith (Kenneth Smith), two sons; Tommy Brown, Gregory Newson (Portia Patterson Newson) sister; Mudie Steveson, four brother in laws, two sister in laws, seven grand children, and five great grand children.Please keep the Newson Family lifted in your prayers.
