Funeral services for Mrs. Lillian Coutee Rachal age 76 will be held at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cloutiervile, LA. Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 3:30 p.m. until service time with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 4:30 p.m. with Father Harold Imamshah officiating. Mrs. Rachal a native of Cloutierville was born April 14, 1932 in Saline, LA to the parentage of the late Mr. John Coutee and Mrs. Mary Metoyer Coutee. She was a life-long member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. This beloved wife, mother and homemaker passed away peacefully in her residence Sunday, April 5, 2009. She chose clothing manufacturing as her life's vocation and was employed as a professional seamstress in this industry for a decade. Mrs. Rachal also assisted patients in her community as a Private Sitter for a number of years. She was married to the late Mr. R.T. Rachal and this was blessed with nine children. They reared their children and made a home with their family in the Cloutierville Community. She was preceded in death by two sons and one daughter; two brothers and one sister. Left to cherish her memory are six children, Mrs. Jewel Marie Cloutier (George) of Clouterville, LA, Mrs. Martha Conde (Danny Ray) of Derry, LA, Mr. Archie Rachal Sr. (Swanzetta) of Alexandria, LA, Mrs. Elizabeth Metoyer (James Lester) of Cloutierville, LA, Mrs Evelyn LaCour(Terrance Coutee) and Mrs. Letreice Beasley (Michael) of Cloutierville, LA; twelve grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; four brothers, Mr. McKinley Coutee (Margaret), Mr. Felix Coutee (Mary), Mr. Frank Coutee, Mr. Daren Coutee (Robin), and one sister, Mrs. Clara LaCour (Hubert). Special thanks to her physician, Dr. Navtej Rangi and the staff at CHF Clinic of St. Francis Cabrini Heart Center of Alexandria, LA and Hope Hospice of Natchitoches, LA for excellent care provided. The family wishes to acknowledge a special friend of their loved one who is now deceased, Amos Vercher, Jr. for enhancing her life in the latter years following the death of her husband.
