We mourn the loss and Celebrate the Life and Legacy of Mr. Leroy Lee 66, of Shreveport, La.
LEROY LEE was born on June 11, 1951 to Dorothy Mae Lee and Isaac Bailey, Sr. Influenced by his adoptive father and mother, Robert and Clearneise Williams, respectively, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.
On Saturday night, October 21, 2017, the Lord gently called Leroy from his earthly home to his heavenly home, after being a faithful believer for 66 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Clearneise Williams, Dorothy Mae Lee and Isaac Bailey, Sr.; one sister, Brenda Lee; and last but not least, his daughter, Laronda Lee Jones.
Leroy received his education in Shreveport, Louisiana, graduating with Booker T. Washington's Class of 1970. Afterwards, he matriculated at Southern University-Baton Rouge for two years. He was, until his demise a proud supporter of the Jaguar Nation.
Leroy was employed as a Route Salesman with Sears for 20 years, and continued his love of trucking by working in the same capacity with Foremost Dairies for 14 years, until his retirement in 2013.
Leroy was a soft spoken and gentle soul and leave to cherish his memory a devoted wife of twenty-nine years, Shirley C. Lee and two beloved children, son, Leroy Jamaal Lee, and daughter, Shirnelle (Janee') Lee Lumar, and son-in-law, Anthony Lumar.
Leroy loved family and though highly of his surviving siblings: five sisters, Carrie Bailey, Shirley Bailey, Joyce Malone, Clearneise Ned (Larry) and Juanetta Reed; Thirteen brothers, David Bailey (Sherise), Eric Bailey, Gregory Bailey, Isaac Bailey (Gloria), Larry Bailey, Marcus Bailey, Nathaniel Bailey (Lashonda), Ronald Bailey (Gwen), Moses Johnson, Donald Lee (Kathy), Eddie Lee, Ronald Lee (Tammie), and Reverend Warren Lee (Rosemary).
Leroy also leaves behind two special aunts, Madie B. Peters and Oletha Washington, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
