God has called our Angel home and now our precious gift from Him is gone. Our beloved 'Dood' left for her heavenly home on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011. She was born Nov. 6, 1914, and was a native and resident of Baton Rouge. She was a faithful member of St. Mark Baptist Church, where she served as 'Mother of the Church.' She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Mr. Freddie Bell Sr.; parents, sister, and daughter, Hazel. She leaves to treasure her memories five daughters, Clara and husband Curtis James, Shirley Jean Smith and Francis Johnson, all of Baton Rouge, Ceola Kemp and Earnestine Aikens, both of Prairieville; two sons, Cleveland and wife Erma Jean Bell and Freddie Jr. and wife Dorothy Bell, all of Baton Rouge; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, cousins and friends. Visitation at Winnfield Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 15, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m. Interment in Bell Cemetery, Baton Rouge.
