Lejuan Waynesley Simon A Trinidad and Tobago track and field participant in the 2004 Olympic Games and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008. He was 27 and a native of Baytown, Texas. Visiting at Winnfield Funeral Home on Thursday, Oct. 9, from 11 a.m. until religious service at 1 p.m., conducted by Edward Pierce, pastor. Interment in Winnfield Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife, Dechelle Mack Simon; parents, Robert and Ivy Simon; in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Poole and David Mack; a daughter, Alana Simon; a son, Devin Barnes-Simon; two sisters, Cassie Simon and Lavonda Palmer and husband Marcus Palmer; three sisters-in-law, Chanelle, Danielle and Charelle Mack; two brothers, Ian Simon and wife Michelle, and Larry White; a host of nieces and nephews, a grandmother and his grandfathers. He was a member of the 2004 NCAA National Championship, LSU Men's Track Team.
