Funeral services for Mr. Kevin Roy Williams age 51 of Campti will be held on Saturday April 17, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Pilgrim B.C., Clarence, LA. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Mr. Kevin Roy Williams slipped away peacefully at his Campti, LA residence on the evening of April 12, 2010 surrounded by family. He was born to the marital union of the late Mr. John B. Williams and Mrs. Claretha Turner Williams June 13, 1958 in Natchitoches, LA. He was the fourth of five children which blessed this union. Kevin made preparation for a life following this earthly journey through a confession of Christ as a personal Savior and being baptized in his youth by the late Rev. Robert Williams, Pastor of the Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. His education was attained in the Natchitoches Parish Public School System and he was awarded the High School Diploma with the class of 1976. This quiet and easily spoken young man chose highway construction as a vocation and performed with excellence in this field of endeavor until he became physically unable to continue. His first marriage was to the former Ms. Sandra Blake of Natchitoches and this union was blessed with one daughter, LaKita. In later years Kevin entered into matrimony with Ms. Corine Jones and two children were the fruits of this union, Crystal and J. B. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Mrs. Claretha Williams of Campti, Louisiana; two daughters, Lakita Williams of Dallas, TX and Crystal Williams of Natchitoches, LA; one son, Jonathan B. Williams of Natchitoches, LA; three brothers, Curtis Williams of Houston, Kenny Carter of Natchitoches, LA and Ronald Williams of Campti, LA; three sisters, Ella Moore of Clarence, LA, Shirley Jones of Natchitoches, LA and Jackie Williams of Houston, TX.
