A painter, he died at 7:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 20, 2010, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 47 and a resident and native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Antioch Full Gospel Baptist Church on Saturday, Aug. 28, from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by Bishop Gregory Cooper. Interment in Winnfield Memorial Park. Survived by his father, Willis J. Batiste Sr.; grandmother, Gloria M. Pitcher; sons, Kelvin J. Batiste Jr. and Kristoff Batiste; sisters, Alicia R. Paul and Tamiler N. Batiste-Clark; brother, Willis Jude Batiste Jr.; and fiancée, Donna Pratt Harleaux. Preceded in death by his mother, Diane M.
