June Ann King was born July 29, 1953 to the late Webster Pikes Sr., and the late Elsie Pikes in Clarence,Louisiana.There were six children born to this union. She departed this life on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 in her home. June Ann confessed Christ at an early age. She served as a good and faithful servant at the Morning Star Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor James Bonner. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Stanley Lee King on September 24, 1972 and to this union they were blessed with two children. June Ann leaves to love and cherish her memory: Her husband, Standley Lee King,Winnfield,LA;One daughter, Michelle King,Natchitoches,LA; One son,Jason Demond King,Shreveport,LA;(2 brothers, Webster Pikes Jr., Ft.Worth TX; Wesley Pikes,Monroe,LA; One favorite cousin, Bessie Heard, Minden,LA; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Webster and Elsie Pikes,(3 sisters,Anna Pearl Davis,Ceola Pikes and Zeffer Fraizer. Family hour will be from 6-8 PM on Friday, September 9,2011 at the Winnfield Funeral Home of Winnfield located at 117 Martin King Jr. Drive. Funeral Services will follow at 11 AM on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the Morning Star B.C. located at 306 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Winnfield. Interment will follow in the Winnfield Cemetery located on hwy 167 north. Pator James Earl Bonner Officiating. Services are entrusted to Winnfield Funeral Home of Winnfield,LA.
