Funeral will be held Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 at ll:00 a. m in the Winnfield Funeral Home of Natchitoches Chapel. Open visitation will be at the funeral home Friday, Oct. 15th from 10:00 a. m. to 5:00 p. m. and on Saturday morning from 8:00 a. m. to 10:45 a. m. Burial will follow in the Choctaw Island Cemetery of Clarence, LA. Mr. Washington was born March 30, 1972 in Shreveport, Louisiana to the parentage of Mr. Julius Washington, Sr. and Mrs. Angie Bernstine Washington. He was the 5th of six siblings which blessed this union. He passed from this life October 8, 2010 in the rural area of Winn Parish. He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Julius Washington, Sr., a daughter, C. C. , and a brother, Keith Washington. Having been reared in a Christian home, he accepted Christ as a personal Savior and became baptized and united with the Choctaw Island Baptist Church near Clarence, LA. His formal school training was provided by the educators of Winn Parish. There he attended the Atlanta High School in Atlanta, LA. Mr. Washington was self-employed as the owner and operator of the Washington Trucking Company. Being a true businessman, he extended his efforts to the establishing of a local day care facility called Just For Kids Developmental Center. He was united in Matrimony to Mrs. Dorothy Chrishelle Jury Washington and they were blessed with one son, Christopher Lionel Washington. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Chrishelle Washington, a son, Christopher Lionell Washington, his mother, Mrs. Angie B. Washington all of Natchitoches, LA; two sisters, Mrs. Linda W. Murray (Alvin) of Natchez, LA, Mrs. Avis Blake (Rev. James Blake) of Houston, TX; two brothers, Mr. Milton Washington of Houston, TX and Mr. Lee Washington (Sharon) of Natchitoches, LA; one niece, Sherika Henderson; four nephews, Channing Blake, Rodale Scranton, Derrick Scranton, and Kevin Scranton; a God Child, Samiah, and a large number of aunts, uncles other relatives and friends.
