Joseph John Spencer Jr., 65, a native of Weeks Island and a resident of Baton Rouge, died tragically at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, in a truck accident at TMI, Port Allen. He was an independent owner/operator truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Beverly D. Spencer; two sons, Joseph III and Jason, both of Baton Rouge; mother, Helen Spencer, Jeanerette; three brothers, Earcel Spencer, Jeanerette, Steward Spencer, Baton Rouge, and Terry Drexler, Verdunville; five sisters, Carol Bruner, Four Corners, Hattie Thompson, Jeanerette, Georgie Carbin, Morgan City, Millie Hills, Houston, and Laura Watson, Baton Rouge. Visitation at Winnfield Funeral Home on Friday, Feb. 22, from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Andrew Vinning. Interment in Winnfield Memorial Park.
