Johnny Dean "Pee Wee" Dukes, 71 of Grand Cane, LA succumbed to a lengthy illness at home surrounded by his family on September 20, 2017.
Johnny was born April 4, 1946 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Abner "Peter" and Icie Bell (Chatman) Dukes. He accepted Christ and united with the Starlight Baptist Church in Shreveport, LA. One year after graduating from Bethune High School in 1966, he gained employment at Shriner's Hospital in Shreveport, LA, where he was eventually promoted to staff orthotist and devoted 45 years. On the weekends if he wasn't out tending to his lawn service, or enjoying watching sports, he was always there to help friends and family whenever they needed him.
Survivors include his wife Emma of 48 years, eldest daughter Shelia, son Felton (Angela) and youngest daughter Anjanette, one brother Raymond (Georgia), foru sisters Ellen, Elvester, Mary and Bertha "Sue" (Lanie Charles), six grandchildren, DeAndre', Ashley. D'Coriea, Fa'trayveyon, Felton and Sir'Felton a well as 13 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
