Funeral services for Mr. Joe L. Roberson Sr.'Joe Baby' age 85 of Natchitoches will be held on Thursday July 9, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Winnfield Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ernest Green officiating. Interment will follow in Lawrence Serenity Sanctum. Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 8, from 6-9 p.m. at Winnfield Funeral Home chapel. Mr. Roberson departed this life on July 5, 2009 at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center. Mr. Roberson birth blessed the matrimonial union of his late parents Allen and Ophelia Roberson in Natchitoches Parish Louisiana on January 6, 1924. He departed this life on July 5, 2009 at the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center. 'Joe Baby' as he was affectionately known was married to the late Mrs. Zettie Hubley Roberson and this union produced seven children. He is preceded in death by his wife and three children Charles R. Roberson, Bert M. Roberson, and Evelyn Roberson Smith, three brothers, Allen Roberson Jr, Lonnie Roberson, Charles Roberson, and one sister Ethel Roberson Johnson. He leaves to cherish his memories: three sons, Joe L. Roberson Jr, Don C. Roberson, Dan P. Roberson (Winnie), one daughter Carolyn S. Robinson and one sister Angela Roberson Crittle all of Natchitoches, LA, thirteen (13) grandchildren, twenty (20) great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
