Funeral services will be Saturday August 20, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Winnfield Funeral Home with burial in the New Morning Star B.C. Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until service time. Obituary of Mr. Jeffery Dewayne Evans Jeffery Dewayne Evans was born in Alexandria, LA February 27, 1985 to the parentage of Ms. Nina Evans and Mr. Charlie Wolf. He was called to his eternal home August 3, 2011 at the Louisiana Health Sciences Center in Shreveport following a brief period of illness. Jeffery received his education at the hands of educators in the Winn Parish. Realizing that there was a life after this earthly journey, Jeffery united with the Apostolic House of Refuge in Leesville, La under the spiritual guidance of Bishop Paul Bell, Jr. Jeffery was a member of a loving family and reflected his concern for others to the very end as he asked family members who had come to visit him in the hospital to call when they returned home so that he could be assured of their safe return. Left to cherish his sweet memory are his son, Tyea, mother, Nina Evans and her husband R. B. of Natchitoches, his father, Charlie Wolf and wife Carolyn of Natchitoches, four brothers, Kevin Evans (Tarnisha) of St. Maurice, LA, Curtis Mimms Alexandria, Charlie Wolf Jr. and Derrick Rainey Natchitoches, LA. Four sisters, Sharonda Evans of New Orleans, LA, Sandra Mimms Alexandria, LA, Jelisa Merritte, Bonnie Rainey, Laporchuer Rainey all of Natchitoches. 4 uncles, David Dixon (Felisha), Sam Wolf (Glandy), I.C. Evans, Jr. (Janet), Rufus Evans, Sr. (Kathy) and Tony Evans: Shirley Lewis (Jessie), Gloria Jean LaCaze (Jerry), Clara Washington (Jerry) and Shawn Robinson (Levert), a number of nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
