Sister Janice Lynn Pea-Blake was born February 3, 1959, in Shreveport, LA to Sis. Gennie V. Green-Pea and late Rance Pea.
She was devoted to the Christian faith and never missed a moment to impart the word of Christ into the lives of those she touched. She dedicated her life to Christ at Greenwood Acres Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Fred A Caldwell, Sr, through baptismal. Janice completed her high school education at Booker T. Washington High School in 1977. She went on to complete some higher education at Centenary College of Louisiana while devoting several years as a career administrative assistant for various companies, Public Works, Reliable Home Health, and other companies.
Janice's greatest achievement and life duty was assigned to her as mother. She raised 4 children, 3 boys and 1 girl, that she devoted her time to ensuring the best possible life was afforded to them, and Christ remained front and center in their lives. She was preceded in death by father - Rance Pea, brothers - Bobby and Larry Pea and nephew Andre Davis. Janice departed this life on April 09, 2024, at 1:35 AM.
She leaves to mourn her loving mother Gennie V. Pea; her sisters Maxine and Brenda Pea; three sons - Deterick Pea (Elana), Brandon Pea, and Brian Blake; one daughter - Janaria Pea; four granddaughters - Amiyah Pea, Naveah Judge, Jayla Pea, and Samantha Jacobs; three grandsons - Makai Judge, Daylan Pea, and Christopher Jacobs. She leaves behind her 10 nieces and nephews and a host of other cousins, relatives, and loved ones.
