A retired master painter with the Louisiana Department of Labor, he died at 4:46 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 65, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Sunshine. Religious service at Star Hill Baptist Church on Thursday, Jan. 6, at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Raymond Jetson. Survived by his wife, Lois Wilson; son, Montrel Wilson and wife Kisha; sisters, Gloria Crenshaw and Annie Mae Wilson; brother-in-law, Carey Crenshaw; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his father, Louis Wilson Sr.; mother, Leona Wilson; son, James Wilson Jr.; brother, Louis Wilson Jr.; and sister, Ethel Miller. He loved to fish.
