We mourn the loss and Celebrate the Life and Legacy of Mr. James Chatman 77, of Shreveport, La.
JAMES CHATMAN was born October 16, 1940 to the late Elmore and Elvine Chatman in Shreveport, Louisiana. He entered into rest on April 1, 2018. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Erlean Scott.
He accepted Christ and was baptized at Stonewall Missionary Baptist Church in Bossier City, Louisiana.
James was employed with Industrial Steel for 15 years until the plant closed. He later worked at Centenary College where he retired.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 48 years, Cleo Chatman of Shreveport, Louisiana; three daughters, one honorary daughter and one son: Ellen Monroe (David) of Las Vegan, Nevada, James Chatman, Jr. (Tanya) of New Orleans, Louisiana, Celethia Chatman of Houston, Texas, Celina Montas (Ivan) of Frisco, Texas and Latoya Brazil of Shreveport, Louisiana; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-eight grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Please keep the Chatman Family Lifted in your prayers.
