A retired schoolteacher, she died at 4:15 a.m. Sunday, July 25, 2010, at LTAC in Denham Springs. She was 61 and a resident and native of Baton Rouge. Religious service at Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church on Saturday, July 31, at 10 a.m., conducted by Jesse B. Bilberry Jr., pastor. Interment in Southern Memorial Gardens. She is survived by her brothers, Larry E. Ward, and Freddie and wife Glenda Ward, all of Baton Rouge; nephew, Alvan Ward, of Houston; and three nieces, Ebony Ward, of Port Allen, Ashlynn Ward and Freddie Darnisha Ward, both of Baton Rouge.
