Obituary

Funeral services for Mr. Isaiah 'Buddy' Small age 62 of Natchitoches will be held on Saturday April 24, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Greenville B.C. Clarence, LA. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. at the church. Buddy was born to the late Carey an Zeffie Small on May 24, 1947. He departed this life on April 18, 2010 at LSU Health Care Center, with his son, Ivan, at his side. He accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age. He served as a Deacon of Greenville B.C. for several years under the leader ship of Rev. Essie Harris. Buddy graduated from Central High School and started working construction, where he worked until he retired in 2009 when his health began to fail. He loved to dance and fish. In August of 1971 he united for 14 years with Bertha Moore and in this union two children were born. In December 1994 he was united with Dorothy Golston and in this union one child was born. He was preceded in death by his parents Carey and Zeffie Small; four brothers Willie, John L, Carey and Frank; seven sisters Maple, Lou Emma, Ollie, Josephine, Ruthie, Etta and Elnora. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Dorothy Small of Houston; five children Chisandra Jones of Clarence, Kenya Evans (Steve) of St. Maurice, Tyomeka Williams (Jeffery) of Campti, Ivan Small (Kathy) and Crystal Golston of Natchitoches; three stepchildren Adrian Moore and Shylonda Smith (Paul) of Natchitoches, Terrell Golston of Houston; one brother Henry Small of Clarence; six sisters Inez Jackson of Shreveport, Irma Anthony (Clyde), Lessie Anthony and Patricia Morris (Albert) all of Clarence, Rosie Taylor (Ed) of Houston, Bessie Jones (John) of Winnfield; seven brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, twenty grandchldren; three great-grandchildren; one Godchild Zeffie Jackson of Clarence, two aunts, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
