Funeral Mass for Ira Payne Bloodworth will be held Monday December 29, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St Anthony Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St Matthew B.C. cemetery, Melrose, LA. Rosary and viewing will be from 9:00 a.m.-until service time. Mrs. Bloodworth was born the third of nine children to the parentage of the late Foster Payne Sr and Mrs Amie Pamilton Payne in Natchitoches Parish. Her education during the formative years was accomplished in the Natchitoches Parish Public School System. She served as a Classroom Instructor, School Principal and Reading Supervisor with the Natchitoches Parish School Board in an illustrious career that spanned a period in excess of three decades. Survivors include: a grand- daughter Ms. Shawyn Charles and her father Mr. Julius Charles, one great grand-daughter Barbara Renaye Clark all of Natchitoches, LA, one sister Mrs. Dorothy Payne Green of Macon, GA, one brother Mr. Henry Payne of Carson, CA, two aunts Mrs. Irma Payne and Cecelia Payne of Natchitoches, her special care giver Ms. Lena Johnson of Natchitoches and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
