Andre Haney is the Pastor on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 1:00 p. m. with public visitation at the church from Noon until service time. Burial will follow in the Montgomery Community Cemetery. Mr. Herman Tyree was born in Brooksville, Mississippi April 7, 1930, the seventh of fourteen children which blessed the marriage union of the late Mr. David Tyree and Mrs. Minnie Jadine Tyree. He departed this life January 7, 2010 in the Colfax Reunion Nursing Home Facility. Having been reared in a home which lived according to Christian principles, Brother Tyree was led to accept Christ as a personal Savior in his native state of Mississippi where he became a member of the Wright Chapel Methodist Church. Upon his relocation to the Montgomery, LA community, this gentleman united with the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he remained a member until his death. He enjoyed a wonderful marriage to the late Mrs. Ninetener Hatchett Tyree who was a loving wife, mother, sister, neighbor and friend. She was a most likeable individual who was affectionately known by many versions of her first name: Tina , Tyra , Ninie and Ninetine . Together they formed a nurturing home for fifteen foster children, of which three were legally adopted: John Mark Tyree, Kasean Karl Tyree and Charles Jordan Tyree. Mr. Tyree was a hard-working gentleman who chose vocations related to the operation of heavy equipment, logging and building construction as a means of providing for his wife and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and eleven siblings. Those who will forever cherish his memory fondly are three sons, John Mark Tyree of Montgomery, LA, Kasean Karl Tyree (Becky) of Minden, LA and Charles Jordan Tyree of Tucson, Arizona; thirteen grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mattie Samuel (Woody) of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; one brother, Mr. Roosevelt Tyree of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
