Herman Ray Draper was born January 23, 1954 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Herman and Princy (Manigo) Draper. He graduated from Bethune High School in 1972. He accepted Christ at an early age at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.

Herman leaves to cherish his memory two daughters DeMenica Edwards (Shredni) and Natasha Douglas Washington (Kevin); four grandchildren Darius, Tristan, De'Kevion and Ke'Tascia; his mother Princy Lewis; six sisters Jeanetta Scott (Wyonia Jr), Monica Owens, Carolyn Chitman, Angela Burks, Denyse Shyne, and Debra Fefie; five brothers John Draper, Maurice Draper (Leslie), Mark Draper (Terri), Patrick Draper (Lisa), Melvin Wiggins (Vicki); uncles, an aunt and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Herman was preceded in death by his father, Herman Draper, his brother Bobby Draper and sister Brenda Wiggins Thomas.
