OBITUARY OF MR. HENDERSON HOWARD, SR. Mr. Henderson Howard, Sr., a resident of the Natchez, LA community at the time of his death, was born August 13, 1939 in Natchitoches Parish, the late Mr. Abraham Howard, Sr. and Mrs. Earlee Cannon Howard Taylor. He passed away July 15, 2009 in the Long Term Care Center of the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center. His education was accomplished in the public school system of Natchitoches Parish. His high school diploma was awarded from the St. Matthew High School in Melrose, La. Knowing that there was a spiritual reality to give life a deeper meaning, Mr. Howard confessed Christ as a personal Savior at an early age at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church and remained a member there until his death. He was married to Mrs. Murdies Carpenter Howard and this union was blessed with six children. He was preceded in death by one son, Rinderson Ray Howard, as well as five brothers, Wilson Howard, Willard Howard, Fred Howard, Abraham Howard, Jr. and Nelson Howard. He chose Agricultural Farming as his lifetime vocation and followed this honorable pursuit for most of his life until he experienced health failure. Left to cherish his memory are a loving wife, Mrs. Murdies Carpenter Howard, Mr. Henderson Howard, Jr. (Bobbie), Mrs. Sherry Williams (Leotis), Mrs. Floria Ann Bush (Reginald), Mrs. Kelly Marie Caldwell (Chris), Ms. Bobbie Denise Howard (Terrance) all of Natchitoches, Louisiana; 20 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Brothers, James Howard (Essie) of Houston, TX, Elijah Taylor, Jr. (Linda) of Natchitoches, LA; sisters, Emma Wardsworth of Houston, TX, Mary Helaire (Henry) of Houston, TX, Florence Johnson (Lloyd) of Natchitoches, LA, Doris Beard of Houston, TX, Madeline Howard of Houston, TX, Dorothy Anthony (Bruce) of Houston, TX and Diane Anthony (Cornelius) of Houston, Tx., a daughter-in-law, Helen Howard a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral servivces for Henderson Howard Sr. age 69 of Natchez will be held on Saturday July 18, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Winnfield Funeral Home. Interment will follow in St. Paul B.C. cemetery. Visitation are Saturday from 8 a.m. until service time. Mr. Henderson a farmer passed away on Wednesday July 15, 2009 at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center Long Term Care. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Winnfield Funeral Home of Natchitoches.
