Obituary Of Mrs. Hazel Barras Monette A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Hazel Barras Monette, 92, at the St. Theresa Catholic Church, Abbeville, LA, Saturday, February 13, 2010 at High Noon who died Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Natchitoches Regional Medical Center. Interment will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery of Abbeville, LA. Surviving are her daughter, Theresa Vallien and her husband, Andrew Vallien of Natchitoches, LA, three grand daughters, Pam Vallien of Lafayette, LA, Courtney Swayzer (James) of Natchitoches, LA and Moneta Mercadel (Lance) of Shreveport, LA, one great grand daughter, Amber Swayzer. She was born October 13, 1917 in St. Martinville, LA, daughter of the late Oscar and Susan Barras. The family will receive friends for a visitation at 10:00 a. m. at the C. M. Butler Funeral Home in Abbeville, LA where the Holy Rosary will be recited at 11:15 a. m.
