Ms. Gretchian Ann Autrey Earls better known as "Honey" was born February 17, 1946 to the late Mr. Alex H. Autrey, Sr. and Ms. Lessie Black. She departed this life on Friday, November 30, 2018. She confessed Christ at an early age at Union Star Baptist Church and baptized by Reverend G. W. Odom.
She was married to the late Aaron Earls, Sr. and to that union there were three children. Gretchian was a life- long career woman and enjoyed providing care and love to her many patients she encountered.
Gretchian was a 1964 high school graduate of Booker T. Washington High School where excelled academically and in performing arts. After graduating from high school, Gretchian attended Louisiana Vocational Technical school where she graduated and obtained a license as a practical nurse (LPN). Gretchian graduated in 1986 from Northwestern State University at the age of 40. Gretchian continued to work and serve the public. After 20 years of nursing, Gretchian decided to retire. But, as anyone who knows "Honey", she did not stay retired for long. Gretchian began a second, rewarding career serving America's Veterans at Overton Brooks Veterans Administration Medical Center as a primary care registered nurse. After several years of working at Overton Brooks, Gretchian decided it was time to retire from work and spend more time with her family.
Gretchian was a God-fearing, loving woman who loved her Pastor and her church. As an active member of Paradise Baptist Church family, Gretchian served and was very passionate about teaching and mission. Gretchian was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Senior Mission ministry.
