Funeral Services will be celebrated for Mrs. Gladys Lynch at the Abundant Life Church Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 11:00 a. m. with burial following in the St. Mark Methodist Church Cemetery in the New Town Community. A wake service will be held at the Winnfield Funeral Home on Friday, March 5, 2010 from 6:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. Mrs. Gladys Lee Williams (Lynch) was born January 13, 1918 in Natchitoches, Louisiana to the late Crawford and Melissa Brooks Williams. At any early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior and joined the St. Mark United Methodist Church at New Town. She later became a member of the New Testament Church of God. In 1936, she met and married Edward Lynch, Sr. and to that union added twelve children, all of which she guided through high school. Gladys went on to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning, March 2, 2010. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one son, Edward Lynch, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory two sisters: Audry Williams Jones of Los Angeles, California and Ethel Williams Gay of Arlington, Texas; her children, Irene Lynch Breda and Kenneth Lynch of Natchitoches, Louisiana, Ocie Lynch (Lula) and Jimmy Lynch of Fort Worth, Texas, Lillie Lynch Freeman (Fred) of Waco, Texas, Leonard Lynch of Shreveport, Louisiana, Larry Lynch (Renee), Johnny Lynch (Deloris) and Terry Lynch of Houston, Texas, Charles Lynch (Kathy) of Rosenberg, Texas and Lee Ellis Lynch of Prairie View, Texas; twenty-one grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
